Tres Pinatas Hold & Win by Hacksaw Gaming keeps all of its machinery in one place. The base game is a ramp, the bonus is the destination, and the three coloured Piñatas are the engines inside it. This page takes every part of that apart, from the Skull trigger to the diamond Coins at 500x.
The base game has one job. Nine lines pay left to right from the leftmost reel on adjacent reels, the Wild fills the gaps, and five guitars at 10x the stake is the top of the line table. What you are really watching for is the three Piñata scatters: Blue, Red and Green. Each one lights a Skull of its own colour, mounted outside the grid where you can see all three at once.
One lit Skull opens the Piñata Party. So do two, and so do three, and that is the rule worth reading twice: a single scatter is already enough to change the room. And landing all three Piñata symbols on the same spin always triggers the round, no matter what the Skulls were doing beforehand.
Then comes the detail that makes the trigger worth chasing. Any Piñata sitting on the grid when the bonus is entered turns sticky and carries over into the round. The colour that got you in is already in play, in a fixed position, with its whole effect intact. A Green carried in on entry is a collect waiting to happen; a Blue carried in is a doubler working on every refill from the first spin of the bonus. The how to play page shows where all of this sits on the control row.

The Piñata Party is a Hold & Win with three refilling lives and four kinds of symbol on the grid: Coin, Jackpot, Piñata and Dead. Coins and Jackpots land and stick where they fall, and each one refills the lives. Dead symbols spend a life. When the lives are gone, the round resolves and everything on the board pays.
The Coin values run on four tiers, and reading them as a ladder rather than as a list is what tells you how a round is going:
That overlap is deliberate. The jackpots are not a separate prize pool sitting above the Coins; they are rungs on the same ladder, which is why a crowded board of gold and diamond Coins can out-pay a board carrying a jackpot symbol. Five diamonds at 500x add up to 2,500x, the ceiling of the whole game, with no jackpot symbol involved. Put that at a stake: at €0.10 a spin that board is €250, at €2 it is €5,000.

Three colours, three completely different jobs, and the difference between an average round and a big one usually comes down to which of them arrived first.
| Colour | What it does | When it fires |
|---|---|---|
| Blue Piñata | Multiplies one random Coin value by x2 | Every time the lives are refilled |
| Red Piñata | Multiplies all Coin values and any activated Green Piñatas in a 3x3 area around it by x2 to x10; Jackpot values stay as they are | Once all the lives are consumed |
| Green Piñata | Collects the values of every Coin and Jackpot on the grid, removes the collected symbols and refills the lives | The first time all the lives are consumed |
Blue is the compounder. Its effect is tied to refills and the Coin it upgrades is picked at random, so what decides its value is how many Coins are on the board when the lives come back. Land it early on a board already carrying gold and a 50x can become 100x at the very next refill; land it on a board of two bronze Coins and it has almost nothing to work with.
Red is the finisher, and position decides its value. It works on a 3x3 area around itself, which is eight cells plus its own, so a Red that lands in a crowded corner multiplies everything sitting in those nine squares, while a Red on an empty edge multiplies very little. Its x2 to x10 range is the widest single swing in the game. It cannot touch Jackpot values, which is the one thing worth remembering when a board is carrying both.
Green is the second chance. On the first occasion the lives are consumed, it sweeps the board: every Coin and every Jackpot value is collected, the collected symbols are removed, and the lives refill. A round you were certain had ended starts again on a clear grid, with everything you had already banked.
Above all three sits the full-grid rule. A grid completely filled with Coin, Jackpot and all three Piñata symbols pays out, clears the Coins and Jackpots and refills the lives, which is how the game lets a great round keep running instead of capping it. A full grid holding only Blue and Red resolves both effects and closes the bonus. The strategy page looks at what all of this means for the stake you pick.

The four jackpots land as Jackpot symbols inside the bonus and are fixed multipliers of your bet rather than a progressive pool, so their value depends only on the step you set before the spin.
| Jackpot | Multiplier | At €0.10 | At a €2 stake | At €400.00 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mini | 25x | €2.50 | €50 | €10,000 |
| Major | 50x | €5 | €100 | €20,000 |
| Mega | 250x | €25 | €500 | €100,000 |
| Max Win | 2,500x | €250 | €5,000 | €1,000,000 |
Mini at 25x is two and a half times the best line win in the base game, and it arrives as a single symbol rather than as five matching ones. Major doubles it. Mega is five times Major and ten times Mini, which is the jump that turns a pleasant round into a memorable one. The Max Win rung is the ceiling of the entire game at 2,500x, and it is reachable in every bonus mode: the naturally triggered round and all three purchased ones. The RTP page runs the same ladder against every step of the bet range.
The fiesta set is short and it is ordered the way the artwork suggests, which is not true of every themed slot.
Five premiums carry the top of the table: the guitar, a tequila bottle, chillies, maracas and a cactus. Beneath them sit the card ranks, 10, J, Q, K and A, filling the grid between premiums and keeping the nine lines busy. Five guitars on a payline is the best line win in the game at 10x the stake.
The Wild works only in the base game, where it substitutes for every symbol in the paytable. That restriction is deliberate: inside the Piñata Party the grid switches to Coin, Jackpot, Piñata and Dead symbols, so there is nothing for a Wild to substitute for. Its job is upstream, completing premium lines and keeping the balance moving while the Skulls fill.
The three coloured Piñatas are the scatters, and they behave unlike most. They do not pay a scatter prize; they light the Skull of their own colour outside the grid, and that Skull is the trigger. So every Piñata you land is both a step towards the bonus and, if it is still on the grid when the round starts, a sticky engine inside it.
Put the ladder end to end and the shape of the game is visible in one line: 10x is the best the base game offers, 500x is a single diamond Coin, and 2,500x is the round ceiling. Everything between those numbers happens in one room.
The ceiling is reachable in every bonus mode, and there is more than one path to it. None of them requires a jackpot symbol.
In practice, big rounds combine them: a Green restart, a Blue compounding through the second board, and a Red finishing it. The strategy page covers how to read which path a round is taking while it happens.
You can wait for the Skulls, or you can pay. The BONUS BUY panel opens at the casinos that offer it: the BUY BONUS control sits in the row under the reels, and SHIFT+B brings it up from the keyboard.
| Path | Price | At a €2 stake | What you get | Published RTP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BonusHunt FeatureSpins | 5x the stake per spin | €10 | Every spin is ten times likelier to open the bonus, and the mode stays on until you switch it off | 96.28% |
| Mini Piñata Party | 100x the stake | €200 | The Hold & Win with 3 refilling lives and 1 to 3 Piñatas guaranteed from the start | 96.28% |
| Mega Piñata Party | 200x the stake | €400 | The same round with 2 to 3 Piñatas guaranteed | 96.34% |
FeatureSpins is the different one: a per-spin price that keeps the base game running while shortening the wait, so the line wins and the Wild still work for you. Mini and Mega are one-off entries, and Mega costs exactly twice Mini. The extra 100x buys a narrower guarantee, from 1 to 3 Piñatas up to 2 to 3, which matters because of everything above: two colours on the board at the start means two engines instead of one, and the sticky rule keeps them there.
The published returns make the choice easier. The observed base build pays 96.26%, FeatureSpins and Mini both publish 96.28%, and Mega publishes 96.34%. The shortcut keeps the return, so what you are really buying is time and guarantees rather than a worse deal. The demo build carries the same panel, so you can price all three doors in free play before a deposit, then read the full review for the verdict or go back to the hub page for the rest of the game.
